PIAN CANSIGLIO is far 10 minutes from the A27 Venezia-Pian di Vedoia Motorway (Fadalto-Lago di S. Croce exit) for anyone coming from Milan or Tarvisio. Those coming from the Brenner pass, at Trento follow directions for Padova along the Valsugana, then take the exit for Belluno, passing Feltre, Belluno and Ponte nelle Alpi to get to Alpago. We are an hour from Venice Airport and 45 minutes from Treviso airport.

Alpago is a splendid mountain bowl, made up of five municipalities, situated in the south of the Belluno province, easy to reach from both Treviso and Venice. It is protected by a crown of mountain tops: the Dolada, Col Nudo, the Teverone and the Monte Cavallo range. Its heart is the Lake of Santa Croce, near the village of Farra, an ancient Longobard settlement, which has made the Lake its main attraction: wind surf, sailing, water sports, camping and swimming are some of the possibilities available for numerous tourists. Tambre borders the provinces of Treviso and Pordenone; the nearby Forest of Cansiglio figures as the most important woodland in the Veneto-Friuli Prealps and the second forest in Italy. Chies, at the northern limit, has the largest land area, including a wild, unspoiled landscape. Puos, in the middle, is the centre for local services for the whole valley, and, finally, Pieve has the industrial area but also a launching point for hang and paragliders on the slopes of Mount Dolada.
